Online fraudsters hit Sola Salako-Ajulo’s dad, withdraw all his savings
Special Adviser, Communications & Strategy to the Governor of Ekiti State, Sola Salako-Ajulo’s father has been hit by online fraudsters.
In a tweet on Monday, Sola revealed that all his savings of N287, 000 was withdrawn, and only N1, 000 was left in the account.
“My 87-year old father just got hit by online fraud on his Union Bank Account. All his savings of N287, 000 was withdrawn; only N1, 000 was left in the account. He is in shock… I pray it doesn’t kill him.”
The media strategist wondered why banks leave seniors at the mercy of tech fraudsters. “Aren’t there multi-level checks that can be set up on such accounts to reduce their exposure? Can’t @cenbank CBN mandate banks to refund frauds on a senior’s accounts?” She asked.
