If you have been raped, speak out – Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde counsel victims
Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has advised rape victims in the past to speak out and report perpetrators.
Omotola in a tweet on Friday after watching a rape video opined that, if the perpetrators are not reported, and they are not caught, they will rape others. She added that these are new times and everyone is on the victim’s side now.
“I have just watched a disgusting Rape video. Pls if you have been raped or know anyone else who has. These are New times! Everyone is on your side now! Pls, speak out! If you don’t report it, the demon(s) might never be caught and will Rape others! Do it for yourself, do it for others.”
There has been a widespread outcry over the rising cases of rape in Nigeria, with many calling on Nigeria authorities to deal more effectively with rapists through the strict measures.
