‘We live in constant fear of men’ – Genevieve Nnaji
Nollywood actor Genevieve Nnaji in reaction to the tragic death of Tina Ezekwe (17) and Uwa Vera Omozuwa (22) has said that women live in constant fear of men.’
The death of both women led to an outrage on social media and the hashtag #JusticeForTina and #JusticeForUwa was birthed.
Tina Ezekwe met her death after she was shot by two police officers at Iyana-Oworo while Uwa died at the hospital after she was raped and attacked by an unknown man.
In reaction to these deaths, Genevieve believes women live in constant fear of men.
Joining numerous others who are reacting to these deaths, She wrote,
“They either abuse their power or have the power to abuse.
In or out of uniform, we live in constant fear of men. Tina Ezekwe. Vera Omozuwa. Rest In Peace my darlings. We will get justice.”
Genevieve Nnaji had a daughter at a young age.
