Chef Fregz celebrates cooking for supermodel, Naomi Campbell

Celebrity chef, Gbubemi Fregene, popularly known as Chef Fregz on Tuesday shared the excitement of being opportune to make a meal for legendary supermodel, Naomi Campbell, on Monday night.

He narrated how after receiving a call, he went from sleeping on his couch to cooking for a legendary super model.

Here is his post:

“The Winning Streak Continues.

Yesterday was movie. Bestselling of all time in my books this year.

“At about 5pm my phone buzzes against my chest and between irritation and wondering where I was coming from my slumber I peered through my tired eyes and saw this unknown number calling. I almost hit my silent button to sleep again “abeg who is this …?” In the same vein I picked up the phone wondering “who could this be?”

“All I heard was “are you free tonight… to cook for Naomi Campbell?”

Omoooooooo my eye open fully!

“A few hours after, from navigating through Lekki roads like a speed racer I arrived the venue with my wingman Isa. We basically entered a chopped competition as we had to pull out things from the freezer and met random ingredients from Renne bought by my host’s staff, with a sense of dependence on the Holy Spirt and God given gut, Myself Isa and Matthew (in house host chef) ran though prep like crazy men with a purpose and we served one of the most memorable dinners I’ve ever done.

“In a few hours yesterday, I went from sleeping on my couch to cooking for a legendary super model. The @naomi Campbell.

“Driving home at 12.38am the surrealism washed over me again. I didn’t need to bathe again. Naomi Campbell had touched me. I Kuku slept off on the same couch they called me up from. Maybe that’s my new juju spot this season.

“God has taught me so much this year. Before kings and queens. My gift is not only making room it’s creating them for me.

“Shout to Eka for making the call. Many Thanks to Mr Nduka for trusting me blindly and being so pleased with my work.
