Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Documentary: Lifetime Drops Trailer

An American cable channel, Lifetime has released the official trailer for ‘Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina: Didn’t We Almost Have It All’ documentary.

The two-hour project, billed for release on February 6, 2021, chronicles the life and times of Whitney, an American singer cum actress, and Kristina, a media personality.

Whitney died in 2012 at 48 while Kristina breathed her last in 2015 at 22.

The music star and her daughter died in similar circumstances found unresponsive in their bathhubs after years of battling drug and alcohol abuse.

The documentary features interviews with several people including those who had close ties with Whitney and Kristina.

“This the first time I’ve ever spoken about Whitney,” says Perri Reid, a music executive and close friend to the family, in the trailer.

“She just wanted to be a mother. She loved her daughter more than anything,” says another friend to the family.

“The two-hour documentary presents an in-depth look at the parallel lives of renowned singer Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina,” Lifetime said in a release on the project.

“Both faced similar struggles — living in the shadow of their famous mothers, criticized for their love choices and often used for their fame and fortune…and both turned to drugs and alcohol for relief from the pressures of being in the spotlight, before prematurely leaving the Earth in the same tragic way.

“In an emotional and candid look at the ups and downs of their personal stories, and a celebration of their lives, ‘Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina’ offers intimate conversations with the friends and family that were closest to them.”
