Don’t burn bridges –Omowunmi Akinnifesi

Ex-beauty queen, Omowunmi Akinnifesi, has stressed the importance of having people around, simply because one cannot do it alone.

In a post on Instagram, she cautioned on not burning bridges. Doing so, according to the 34-year –old could cost one.

She wrote: “Good morning Kings and Queens. Don’t burn bridges.

In a world where you need people. Yes I said it you need people. You simply cannot do it alone. Don’t like people? Get to like them because you are a person and except you want to die with your cat, you are going to have to learn how to interact with people. But I digress.

“Have you ever blocked someone and in a year you are like why the hell did I block that person?🤦‍♀️. Or you unfollowed someone and then next year followed them back 😂. Or you fight with someone and then later realize that it all really didn’t matter but seemed like the world at the time.

“Burning bridges can cost you. It’s an expensive venture. What we must do is to learn to control our emotions, learn to keep a distance without complete eviction, learn to leave in peace, emotional mastery is key here. Even if you must evict, notice that it’s just a mental and emotional thing to block someone. Control yourself. Block the haters. I’m talking about friends and family. I’m just saying be careful cos burning bridges ain’t worth the unrest. Keep your distance but be careful. Don’t burn the bridge.
