After 10 weeks of fun, drama and intense competition of the Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season, DStv and GOtv customers are promised more reality TV, with the return of the 12th season of Gulder Ultimate Search and the launch of The Rush show, to keep them entertained throughout the month of October.

Fans and viewers will enjoy the adventure of Gulder Ultimate Search from Saturday, October 16, to Sunday, December 19, 2021.

Popularly known as GUS, this reality TV show dominated the airwaves in the early 2000s and will be returning to TV screens for its 12th season ‘The Age of Craftmanship’, after a long break.

The show is organized by Nigerian breweries in partnership with MultiChoice Nigeria, and is based on a “survival of the fittest” format, where 20 contestants will struggle to find a hidden treasure and the winner will be crowned the ‘Ultimate Man’.

GUS is scheduled to air on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2) on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 pm till 9 pm.

Pop Central is set to excite reality show enthusiasts as The Rush, a high energy, physically intense reality show debuts.

The show which comes to screens this month and runs till December will have 16 contestants compete in groups for 8 weeks, and engage in 39 meticulously designed intensive physical and mental tasks, designed to be both exciting and intensive.

The show will have dedicated task segments, contestants’ in-residence segment, diary room segment, host driver, and voice over to drive the story. Contestants will vote to eliminate each other weekly, while the viewers will vote to keep their favourites in. Contestants will also be able to earn immunity through various tasks during the weekdays.

The daily residence segment will air as a 2-hour recap that will run from 7pm to 9pm daily and a rerun the next day from 11am to 1pm on Pop Central (DStv 189).

Another exciting content to look forward to this month is Felabration, an annual festival of music and arts commemorating the life and times of Nigerian’s foremost musical icon, the late, legendary, Fela Anikulakpo Kuti.

The week-long event will feature school debates, afrobics dance competitions, a symposium and art competition. This will air from Monday 11 to Sunday 17 October, 2021 on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29.

DStv customers can also live stream these shows on the DStv app, which is free to download from the Google Play and App stores.
