Sophia Momodu has spoken out against a recent skin lightening advert trending on social media.
The TSMB boss called out the advertisers for showing a light skinned woman walking through a crowd of dark-skinned people, including children, while they all look at her in wonder.
Sophia questioned what kind of message such advert is passing to children who are dark skinned in 2022.
The mother of one also called out people who bleach their dark or brown skin to become light the whites.
People who bleach their skin are the most confused people to me tbh. If bleaching was so great, why are you ashamed of your knuckles and knees?
Before you buy any bleaching product, my dear, think, do some research or even try therapy.
She further extolled the beauty of the dark skin and thanked her mother for teaching her to love her skin.
