How to style your Little Black Dress (LBD)

Black is an all-time classic colour, and you can never go wrong with a little black dress. The versatility of this timeless wardrobe classic cannot be overemphasized.

From dinner to a cocktail party, and red carpet outing, a black dress is perfect to wear anytime. Donning it with a little creativity can help you get a stylish look and slay in it. Here are 6 elegant ways to rock your little black dress.

1. Pair it With a Jacket

For a more formal look, a jacket will enhance the look of a little plain black dress. You can go for a long jacket if you wish to get a glamorous and party look. Complete the look with a pair of stilettos.

2. Go For Sequins

A sequin black dress makes an excellent attention-grabbing outfit for an evening out. Instead of a plain black dress, opt for a shining number. It’s a great choice for parties and black tie events.

3. Wear Statement Jewelry

A great way to wear your LBD alone is to pair it with bold pieces of jewelry. Choose pieces that are structural or add sparkle to your look. Stick to neutral colours, like gold, silver or beads with matching bracelets.

4. Dramatic Sleeves

If you have to wear an LBD, why not go for something a little bit more dramatic, as seen on Tolu. This mini black dress with puff sleeves will definitely stand you out at any event.

5. Add Ruffles And Tassels

If you love drama, go for a little black dress with ruffles or tassel details. You can  never go wrong with a timeless classic like this black asymmetric dress with tassels, worn by America’s singer, Kelly Rowland. It’s a red carpet delight.

6. Add A Belt

Adding a belt will enhance your silhouette and make your look more defined. A black or tan belt works great, but you could also choose a colour, print, or texture, for attention.
