Nollywood stars, Tana Adelana and Gabriel Afolayan have been selected for the first-ever Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exposition and Awards, NEMCEA.

Iyke Okechukwu, Ronke Odusanya, Harry Dorgu, Emeka Ossai, Uche Agbo, Nnamdi Odunze, Sunshine Olawore, Shileola Ibironke, Wendy Lawal, Lydian John, Adeniji Omirin, and Lisa Molapo are the other 12 candidates for the awards.

The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria, or EMCOAN, was the brainchild behind the three-tiered awards ceremony, which would take place over the course of three days.

The Nigerian Electronic Media Content Awards (NEMCEA) will include the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Market, the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Industry Annual Conferences, and the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Awards in 2022.

The EMCOAN president, Jibe Ologeh, said:

“NEMCEA 2022 is designed to promote the development of and trade in Nigerian electronic media, film and other content types, expose Nigerian television and media content products amongst the local and to the international market, provide development and training support in the areas of marketing and selling these contents to potential buyers, reward achievements in prime time TV/Radio and Online performances by all stakeholders, reward content and productions that are educational, innovative, locally relevant, and reflective of African/Nigeria’s common values and cultural diversity, and reward production firms whose content has been outstanding over the year(s) under consideration, thereby, promoting not just the actors and the content in itself, but the Content owners.”
