Why I Started Ada Goes To School…Ada Agwu Eme MBGN

Current Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN, Miss Ada Agwu Eme has revealed that her father’s inability to get education and her passion for girl-child education, as the inspiration for the establishment of her education initiative- Ada Goes to School.

The 25 year old queen made the revelation during a courtesy visit to the Vanguard hub in Lagos during the week.
According to Ada, “My father was really passionate about education before he died, but he never got educated; so, that made me start an educational scholarship fund to empower people in my community.”
The initiative which has awarded scholarships to over 100 children in her Abiriba community in Abia State has since grown beyond education, to addressing health care issues such as Schistosomiasis; a disease caused by infection with freshwater parasitic worms that often affects children in the community and prevents them from going to school. We do this, “to ensure that every single limitation towards a child getting education is stopped.”
In the last one year, the initiative has carried out activities such as Pad-A-Girl outreaches-highlighting the impact of period poverty on school girls, gone on medical outreaches for the cure of and prevention of Schistosomiasis as well as visits to flood victims in Bayelsa State.
Founded in 2022 as part of her pet project, Ada Goes to School is funded by free will donations from members of the public.
