The Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Creative, Entertainment Group has reaffirmed its commitment to support innovations, entrepreneurship and potentials in Nigeria’s creative and entertainment sector to drive economic growth, create jobs, and promote the rich diversity of culture.

President/ Chairman of Council of Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Asiwaju (Dr) Michael Olawale-Cole made this commitment at the grand re-launch of the group, at a dinner, held at Movenpick Hotel, Kingsway Road, Lagos.

Leye Kupoluyi; CEO, Xtreme Cr8tivity Xpressions Ltd. Debo Atiba; and Mrs. Sally Ufuoma Ukpo

Olawale-Cole noted that the fashion, arts, and music sector holds the key to the future of Nigeria and can inspire, challenge and unite the nation.

“The grand re-launch symbolises a fresh start, a new chapter, and a commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring uncharted territories,” he said.

On her part, Ngozi Omambala, Chairperson of LCCI Creative and Entertainment Sector stated that the renewed group is poised to attract investment and create a more structured, cohesive and less fragmented structure with better equality of opportunity.

She noted that the entertainment industry has thrived without any sort of formal support from the government and has grown organically based on passion and belief, with the youths making an impact within and outside the shores.

The Group, she added, would ensure they do more and become bigger influencers.

“With this re-launch, through the arts, music and fashion, we will be influencing the younger generation to take control, emancipate them and empower them. That is the whole idea of our platform. We grow and become influencers within ourselves and that is why we are stronger Nigerians and pan-Africans.

“The youths of today are leaders of tomorrow. We are preparing new youths to come through and be strong and empowered. We want our youths to become stronger and bigger influencers across the globe.

The night witnessed a fusion of creativity in fashion, arts and music as five emerging designers showcased their creativity in a mini-fashion show, while One sound band thrilled the audience with music.
