At the AFAA Runway Showcase on November 7, 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa, Omowunmi Omowonuola Chinwuba unveiled her Luxe Haven Collection for The Isabelle and Brian Clothing Company.

The collection radiated creativity and elegance, seamlessly intertwining bold cultural elements with contemporary design to deliver a lineup that felt both wearable and extraordinary.
The opening look was an oversized kaftan that immediately captured attention with its vibrant color-blocking.

Deep burgundy, mustard yellow, and navy blue were harmoniously arranged in an avant-garde composition, creating a piece that was as modern as it was culturally rooted. Its flowing silhouette ensured effortless movement, while a crisp white V-shaped neckline added a touch of refinement and freshness that perfectly framed the face.

Next came a vivid pink knee-length dress that combined structure and whimsy. Its long sleeves tied neatly at the cuffs, adding playful detail to the otherwise sleek design.

An asymmetrical hemline brought an air of modern sophistication, while the bold color and clean lines ensured it made a lasting impression.

Paired with platform heels, this piece captured the essence of bold femininity.
A breathtaking gown followed, offering a serene, dreamlike aesthetic. Its gradient hues of teal, turquoise, and deep blue echoed the tranquility of the ocean, with sheer, lightweight fabric enhancing its ethereal quality.

A high neckline and full-length sheer sleeves balanced modesty with elegance, while the ruched bodice and gathered waistline sculpted the silhouette with effortless grace. The gown’s draped layers moved beautifully, creating a vision of calm sophistication.

Among the standout pieces was a sleeveless purple top crafted from African-inspired fabric, paired with wide-legged black pants. The top’s fitted silhouette added a sleek, tailored edge, while the trousers provided ease and movement.

Together, the ensemble achieved a balance of cultural richness and modern versatility, embodying the collection’s core themes.
A flowing Afro-centric kaftan brought vibrant energy to the runway.

Soft blush pink seamlessly transitioned into vivid red, creating a striking two-tone effect. An embroidered neckline added intricate detail, while bold braided pigtails and a matching headpiece tied the look together, celebrating African heritage with a fresh perspective. The interplay of color and design made this piece both regal and approachable, honoring tradition with a contemporary twist.

The final look was an unforgettable fusion of drama and comfort. A black off-shoulder crop top with voluminous sleeves introduced a bold, modern silhouette, while wide-leg tie-dye-inspired pants in shades of blue and purple added an artistic edge. The pants drew from traditional African techniques but were reimagined in contemporary hues, creating a wearable piece of art that closed the show on a high note.

Omowunmi’s talent for storytelling through fashion was evident in every stitch. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to merge cultural narratives with modern sensibilities elevated the Luxe Haven Collection beyond a mere showcase—it was a celebration of identity and artistry. Each piece reflected a dedication to quality and a profound respect for tradition, all while pushing the boundaries of contemporary African fashion.
