A new continental reality TV show, Queen of Africa, has launched to amplify women’s voices and leadership across Africa. The competition will feature 54 women, one from each African country—vying for the title of “Africa’s First Lady.”

The project, organised by LFC Int’l Production Limited, Uto Umuokpu Anambra USA Women Association and Christian Ruart Fashion Group – New York Fashion Week Experience, is designed to challenge gender inequality, promote women empowerment, cultural pride, and foster unity across the continent.

Speaking at a world Press Conference in Lagos, Executive Producer Jerry Nrialike said women have long been marginalised due to cultural and societal barriers. “Our goal is to empower women, especially those who need it most. This platform is about creating real opportunities for women to lead, inspire change, and foster unity across the continent.”

He added, “Queen of Africa is a movement aimed at breaking the glass ceiling and accelerating women’s development across Africa.” Nrialike also noted that the show will spotlight powerful stories of courage, innovation, and leadership, positioning contestants as role models and agents of social transformation..

Co‑Producer Lady Gina Orazu- President of Uto Umuokpu Anambra USA Women Association, emphasized collective support: “We need to push Africa forward by telling our own stories and celebrating our excellence.”
zady Orizu affirmed, “This platform will create opportunities for women to rise, lead, and tell Africa’s story in their own authentic way.”

The competition is open to women aged 25‑40, with each country nominating a contestant through a transparent voting process that includes local and global audiences.

The winner, chosen by merit, leadership capacity, and public votes, will hold the title for two years, receive a $50,000 cash prize, a branded vehicle from Innoson Motors, and serve as a continental ambassador for African women. The series will be streamed on local and international Television, as well as multiple social‑media platforms, aiming for wide accessibility and a strong digital footprint.
