Let’s face it, not everyone is blessed with a beautiful skin. Does your skin look tired and dull? Don’t fret if you long for soft, glowing skin. Having beautiful skin requires work and it’s quite attainable.
Below are simple tips to getting a vibrant, healthy looking skin:
1. Cool it down
Opt for lukewarm water in the shower. When the water is too hot, it removes natural oils from the skin making it feel dry and look dull.
2. Steer clear of dyes and fragrances
Some ingredients in makeup can be harsh. It is advisable to refrain from all facial products that contain dyes and fragrances as these elements are more likely to cause dryness, redness and breakouts.
3. Invest in sunscreen
About 90% of wrinkles are caused by sun exposure; so, sunscreen is a crucial part of having healthy, glowing skin.
4. Exercise
It is good for every single part of the body including the skin. Not only does exercise boost circulation, it increases blood flow. When you sweat, toxins in the skin are removed.
5. Wash brushes and sponges regularly
Bacteria and dirt can build up on makeup brushes and sponges causing breakouts. Wash your make up instruments regularly to avoid the building up of germs.
6.Exfoliate weekly
Exfoliation gets rid of the dead skin cells that causes blemishes and dull appearance. Exfoliate weekly to reveal fresh, new skin underneath.
7. Sanitise your smartphone
Most smartphones are germ-infested and full of bacteria. Use antibacterial wipes to clean your smartphones to help keep all disgusting stuff off your face.
8. Use Retinol daily
Retinol is an anti-aging product that supports skin efficacy, boosts collagen production, and has anti-inflammatory properties. Retinol treats acne, wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Sunlight can deactivate retinol and render it useless, so always apply it to your skin at night.
9. Drink water
The body is made up of 90% of water; so, it just makes sense that your skin would thrive on the clear stuff. Water has skin rejuvenating abilities and antioxidant properties(anti-aging and anti-disease).
10. Sleep
Lack of sleep results in dark circles, puffy eyes and pale-looking skin. Too little sleep can cause the body to release too much stress hormone cortisol.
A good night sleep, rejuvenates the skin. Cells get renewed at night so getting enough rest is an essential part of having healthy, glowing skin. With the right routine, your skin can glow for all to see.
