Involvement of Church has messed up many marriages –Sola Salako Ajulo speaks

Media personality, Sola Salako Ajulo, has reacted to the new law in
The Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG), instructing intending couples to
undergo genital examination as part of their pre-marital assessment.
According to her, the church has no business in marriage and their
involvement over the years has messed up many marriages.
Ajulo said this in a post shared on her Facebook page.
She stated that there is nowhere in scripture where the church was the
endorsing or approving authority in marriage! The church’s role is to
teach believers to live according to the commandments of God whether
in marriage or out of it!
She wrote: “Usually, I try not to comment on religious posts because I
know emotions run deep and it is usually difficult for most people to
be objective but this is kind of extreme.
It is time for the Church to stop usurping the role of the family in
marriage. Marriage as designed by God is a union of two families.
There is nowhere in scripture where the church was the endorsing or
approving authority in marriage! The church’s role is to teach
believers to live according to the commandments of God whether in
marriage or out of it!
Too many marriages are messed up because the Church is meddling
outside its divine jurisdiction!
This embarrassment has to stop! NOW!
SSA”
The memo, which was issued from the Assistant General Overseer (Admin
and Personnel) says: “The Mission Authority has observed the
recurrence of cases of marital crises resulting from falsehood,
especially in the case of undeclared or unconfessed
reproductive/genital status.
“We have the directive of the General Overseer to instruct all the
Mission’s outpost that forthwith, pre-marital examinations for
intending couples should also include genital test.
Further, Provinces are requested to register with particular (trusted)
Government Approved Hospital for the various pre-marital medical
examinations.”
