Get good energy from carrots’ glucose content, fitness enthusiast, Amara Kanu counsels
Fitness enthusiast and wife of former Super Eagles Skipper, Amara Kanu, has been speaking on the benefits of eating carrots.
According to the mother of three, carrots contain mostly water, carbs and other nutrients that can make you get good energy.
She wrote on her Instagram timeline:
“Let’s talk carrots
Did you know that carrots contain mostly water and carbs?
The water content can vary from around 86-95%, and the edible portion consists of around 10% carbohydrates.
Carrots contain very little fat and protein.
So next time you make a carrot juice for yourself, make sure smile like me in the picture and be rest assured that you’re also getting good energy from the glucose and sucrose it contains.”
