3 red flags to avoid while dating

May 16,2019
Share:

Dating can be an exciting phase of relationships. If it goes well, it leads to courtship then finally marriage.

However, there are things to take note while dating so that you don’t push the other person away. They include:

1. Avoid dating someone despite the red flags that you see.  If you go on a date with somebody or you’ve had a few dates with somebody and you keep feeling as if something is off or you keep getting these red flags that tell you that this person is not right for you, don’t ignore those feelings.  Those feelings are your intuition trying to save you time, money and heartache.

2. Avoid  dating somebody who shows no respect for you.  Respect is reciprocal.  If the person you’re dating makes fun of you despite your request for them to stop, if they’re always late, if they try to get you to do things that are illegal or unethical, this person is showing that they have no respect for you. They won’t change.

3. Avoid dating somebody who discourages you from seeing your friends and family.  That is manipulation and selfishness.   It’s usually a very bad sign.  When someone tries to discourage you from seeing your friends and family, they’re trying to isolate you in order to better control you.  When someone tries to control you, it is never for a good reason and it never leads to a positive place.
