#EndSars: Increase Police salary and watch police brutality disappear – Joro Olumofin tells Govt

For controversial social media celebrity and relationship expert, Joro Olumofin, the reformation of the Nigerian police force, their salary increment would go a long way in curbing police brutality in the country.

According to what Joro wrote on his Instagram page, Nigerian government needs to do review the salaries of police officers to help them do their jobs diligently.

He wrote: ” Dear Nigerian Government.
Please don’t be passive in this #ENDSARS matter.
One of the major questions is “WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?” Why this is happening is because the police are not being paid enough for the job that they do. They don’t have enough benefits for the job that they do. This will naturally make the police unhappy and dissatisfied. An unhappy policeman won’t be interested in the mantra “ Police is your friend” An unhappy police man won’t be interested in building a relationship with the community or the Youths.”

He stated further, “If the Police salary and benefits are increased there will be a decrease in police Brutality.
Dear Youths, this fight is for everybody. As we peacefully chant #ENDSARS let us also include The increase in Police salary and Benefits. Change won’t come if the Police are not properly paid. We are all fighting for a greater Nigeria.”
