Beonce’s father reveals how he discovered his breast cancer
Matthew Knowles, Popular singer, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter’s father, has revealed how he found out that he had breast cancer.
Mr. Knowles stated that he began to notice red dots on the white t-shirts his wife had purchased for him. He first assumed it was because the red dots were always in the same place on all of the t-shirts.
He said he then asked his wife, Gena Avery, about the “black dots of blood” on his t-shirt, and she said she noticed them on his side of their bed sheets as well.
Mathew stated that he remembered that blood discharge is one of the symptoms of breast cancer in men, so he called his doctor and told him, “I need to get a mammogram”.
“And then a few days later, I had surgery and I had a mastectomy,” he recounted.
Meanwhile, Mathew Knowles’ mother, aunt, and great aunt all died as a result of breast cancer.
Mr Knowles, who is now cancer-free, then pleaded with men to get tested because they, too, can be at the risk of breast cancer.
