On the evening of November 7, 2024, Cape Town became the heart of global fashion as the AFAA Runway Showcase presented the Maven Collection by Kloset Kollections.

Crafted by the dynamic creative directors and fashion designers Eghe Isewede and Uchenna Victoria Obiejesi, this collection wasn’t just a lineup of garments—it was a vivid display of innovation, cultural storytelling, and exquisite craftsmanship.

Witnessing the Maven Collection was like stepping into a world where bold creativity met refined elegance.
The collection perfectly encapsulated modern style, blending daring designs with practical sophistication. Using earthy tones as a base and punctuating them with vibrant colours, the designers paid homage to Africa’s diverse landscapes and cultures. What set the Maven Collection apart was its originality: a seamless mix of artistic expression and wearability, striking the perfect balance between boldness and elegance.

The show opened with a statement: a leopard-print crop top paired with relaxed black pants. The combination of the daring print with the easy-going silhouette created an effortless blend of fierce energy and laid-back charm. Minimal accessories let the ensemble speak for itself, while the model’s confident stride brought the look to life, making it an unforgettable opener.

Next came a striking jumpsuit adorned with geometric patterns in shades of white, black, and mustard yellow. The sharp, modern design immediately drew the audience’s attention, giving the outfit a contemporary, artistic vibe. Paired with minimal drop earrings and sleek black heels, the look exuded sophistication. The model’s poised walk turned the ensemble into one of the show’s standout moments.

A male model followed with a sleek, monochrome look—a black turtleneck long-sleeve shirt paired with loose-fitting black trousers. The simplicity of the outfit radiated understated elegance, grounded by classic black boat shoes.

This ensemble was a reminder of the power of minimalism when executed with precision and confidence.
The energy shifted again as a female model took to the runway in a bold leather tube top paired with a black mini skirt. Her sleek updo added a touch of refinement, while sharp black leather boots infused the look with a modern, edgy flair. The combination of feminine allure and defiant boldness made this outfit a showstopper, blending charm with attitude effortlessly.

Another standout came with a brown crop top paired with high-waisted black loose-fitting trousers. The outfit’s simplicity highlighted the richness of the earthy tones, creating a refined yet approachable look. The flowing trousers added a sense of movement and grace, while the crop top provided warmth and balance. Black heels finished the ensemble, elevating the minimalist design to one of polished sophistication.

The finale brought the runway to life with a vibrant two-piece ensemble. A short-sleeve shirt and matching shorts featured a striking floral pattern set against a deep black background. The vivid colours of the flowers popped beautifully, creating an energetic, dynamic look.

The model’s long red braided hair added a unique, standout touch that complemented the outfit’s bold hues. Finished with sleek black heels, the ensemble was a perfect fusion of vitality and refinement, closing the show on a powerful note.

What made the Maven Collection extraordinary was its versatility. Each design catered to a diverse audience, seamlessly blending artistic creativity with practical wearability. From daring streetwear-inspired looks to polished, elevated ensembles, the collection demonstrated a deep understanding of both contemporary trends and timeless elegance.
The presentation itself was a triumph. Models walked the runway with confidence and poise, embodying the power and sophistication of the designs.

The balance of bold statements and understated elegance made every look feel intentional and impactful.

The Maven Collection wasn’t just a fashion show—it was a celebration of creativity, culture, and empowerment. Designers Eghe Isewede and Uchenna Victoria Obiejesi delivered a collection that elevated African luxury fashion to new heights, pushing boundaries while staying deeply rooted in heritage.

Their work marked a defining moment at the AFAA Runway Showcase 2024 and solidified their place among the industry’s visionaries.
With the Maven Collection, Kloset Kollections has raised the bar for excellence in the fashion world.

This is more than a collection; it’s a testament to the transformative power of fashion. The impact of this showcase will resonate far beyond Cape Town, ensuring Kloset Kollections remains a defining force in the industry for years to come.
