FXTM partner Foundation, donates school items to underprivileged students
FXTM, an international online trading broker, in collaboration with Karis and Eleos Hand of Hope Foundation, has donated back-to-school items to students of Mawumadoka orphans and less privileged school/home, Makoko, Lagos.
Over 400 students benefited from the donation, which was part of activities to mark this year’s International Day of Charity.

The organisations gifted them with bags, notebooks, pens, and other school items in preparation for the new school session.
Kelechi Ehintudu, FXTM Country Manager for Nigeria, speaking at the event, stated that donating to underprivileged children is a strategic move due to the nature of the environment, and it aims to boost the children’s hope that their future is bright if they pursue their education.
He noted that the organisation is aware that staying in school might be difficult if the children and their minders have to worry about basic needs to make learning easy.
” The gesture is aimed at easing the financial burdens faced by the parents of the pupils,” he said.
Similarly, FXTM Education coordinator Ms. Adaeze Uzochukwu stressed FXTM’s tradition of supporting disadvantaged individuals through educational materials, healthcare services, and environmental education initiatives.
She urged the children not to limit themselves because of their present situation, adding that it is okay for them to dream big, too.
Speaking earlier, Lydia Adewunmi, Human Relations Administrator at the Karis and Eleos Hand of Hope Foundation, highlighted the importance of their presence in the Makoko community, particularly due to its location.
She noted that the organisation is strategic in selecting the school in the community, as they are constantly looking to make a difference in people’s lives.
She assured that the organisation would continue to identify communities in need and provide support through similar social initiatives.
Karis and Eleos Foundation is an organisation with a focus on empowering people in rural communities, especially women and girls with minimal or no access to opportunities to improve their lives.
