Corp members to receive N33, 000 as Allowance – NYSC DG Ibrahim Shuaibu
The director general of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Ibrahim Shuaibu says the allowance of Corp members has increased to N33, 000.
He gave this happy news during a working visit to the NYSC secretariat in Bauchi.
According to a statement released on the scheme’s official Facebook page, Ibrahim said the increase is in line with the new minimum wage approved by the federal government.
He said provisions for the new allowance have been made in the 2020 budget.
payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities.
President Buhari in April 2019 signed the new minimum wage bill into law.
