Dolly Unachukwu speaks on importance of fasting in a weight loss journey

Actress Dolly Unachukwu has been speaking on the importance of fasting while on a weight loss journey.

According to her, fasting is important so as to allow the insulin level to go down to basically normal, thereby unlocking the fat stores.

In a post on Instagram on Friday, she wrote:

“So, the last stage of my weight loss programme is Fasting.

“Yes! Fasting!

“Stop eating; zip it for some hours. Simply move your eating windows around so you have some hours you don’t eat anything.

“While fasting, you can drink water, teas or coffee without milk or sugar. Intermittent fasting is simply letting your insulin level go down to basically normal so that you unlock your fat stores. So, nobody’s going to lose any weight unless they get that insulin level down.

“This is why eating very small meals throughout the day doesn’t totally help with weight loss.” Try fasting intermittently. It works.”

Dolly, who is on a weight loss programme has been sharing tips that have worked for her.

Recently, she said in another post that “Burning fat, keeping fit, and staying healthy do not all come with magic. There is a conscious process tied to it all.”
