Parenting : Magnifying the good in people

Dear parents or care giver, magnifying the good in people pays off eventually.

She came complaining of the terrible thing Emeka did. This I know she has  told  all who cared to listen.

Then I asked, did you try to find out his reason for acting that way?

She responded that the boy most times act possessed and also can be from his poor up bringing.

I’m not sure of those things you are saying but one thing I can say is this, he made a mess of things I agree. But the way you are going about it he won’t get the correction.

How do you mean? she asked

This boy you feel is possessed may just be revolting, I don’t care of the horrible things he did. I know for sure that he is such a hard worker.

As human and as a teenager his bound to make a mistake every now and then, the way you handle this things is how he will respond to you.

You’ve never mentioned the good things he does, how come it’s just the bad you tell me?

Why are you silent with the good and always loud about the bad?

What are you saying in essence? she asked

Well all am saying is this, when he does the right things, magnify it more .

Stop being that person who only talks about the wrong things and leave out the good part.

This attitude will only make people dislike your person. Making them act rebellious.

The one you magnify more is what you constantly get. Stop being a fault finder Biko.

She said; I really don’t like the way you talk to me. It’s hurtful and so mean.

I’m sorry if that hurts your feelings but as your friend, it’s my duty to tell you the truth no matter how hard it is.

I’m not a saint oooo but I’ve noticed this attitude in a lot of persons and it’s just so very wrong.

According to the law of attraction, you will always attract what you constantly talk about.

Why not magnify the good, make the person happy and also get good things back in return.

It takes nothing to appreciate and talk about the good things others do for us.

This is very much helpful to parents, teacher, guidance and caregiver, please make your children, students, wards feel proud and thereby boost their self esteem.

Loud it if you must, keep magnifying the good in people.
