Let’s talk Walnuts and its rich health benefits

Looking for one of the richest nuts? Then it should be Walnuts also called “Asala” by the Yorubas. You can also call it “power food ” because it helps with stamina.

Walnuts are single rounded edible fruits rich in  antioxidants and can be used in herbal skin and hair products.
There is a belief that walnut increases ones intellect as consuming these seeds does help in promoting brain function.
They are also  good source of dietary fibre,they contain essential minerals such as beta-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin, phytosterols and other elements.
Let’s share with you some of the many benefits of walnuts.
PREVENTS CANCER:  The phenolic compounds and other antioxidants in  them helps control cancer cells.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT:Consuming Walnuts  keeps you full and their rich source of protein and fiber makes it a healthy snacking option.
BRAIN HEALTH: They contain omega -3 fatty acids, which helps improve memory and focus.
BOOST BONE HEALTH: Esssential Fatty acids in Walnuts secure the bone health of the body.
IMPROVES MERABOLISM: Walnuts  provide minerals which help contribute to metabolic activities in general.
REDUCES INFLAMMATION : The polyphenol ice compounds in them reduce the effects of inflammation in the body.
REGULATE SLEEP:
Walnuts makes melatonin (an hormone that regulates/induce sleep)
CLEANSE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM: Walnuts  help remove toxins and waste from the body.
BOOST IMMUNITY:  Regular consumption of walnuts helps in building strong immune system .
