Poratble discloses APC paid him to support Tinubu, asks critics to let him do his job

The All Progressives Congress (APC), according to Portable, paid him to back Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, in the run-up to the 2023 election.

The musician, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, had previously sponsored the reelection campaign of Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola during a visit.

He had backed Tinubu for president at his meeting with Oyetola in Osogbo, the state capital.

In a now-viral video, he also flaunted money that was allegedly provided to him by Oyetola.

On social media, his action had sparked a chorus of disapproval, with many Nigerians calling him out.

But Portable responded to his detractors in a subsequent video posted on his Instagram account.

The singer alleged that he was paid to back the former governor of Lagos for president and said that his detractors should let him do his job.

Moreover, Portable asserted that he had once been paid to disparage Tinubu.

“I was once paid to insult Tinubu, but that was a long time ago. Now, I have been paid by APC to support Tinubu and I will do so. If you are paid to do something, do it well… it’s Tinubu’s turn. I must do the job which they paid for.”

Portable

As of the time of this report, APC had not responded to his claim.
