Creativity at its peak at the GMYT African Humanitarian Award and Fashion show

It was creativity at its peak as students of the GMYT Fashion Academy held guests to a spectacular fashion show in Lagos recently.

The event was the 7th edition of the GMYT African Humanitarian Award and Fashion show, held Friday December 11  at the Eventistry, Lekki Phase One.

With the theme as ‘The Untamed” the show featured an extravagant fashion collection showcase from students of the academy.

From formal clothing with a touch of modern lightness to extremely extravagant fashion like from a fairy tale, the young designers went wild with creativity, with bold bright colours as the order of the day.

The night also saw the recognition and celebration of some organisations and individuals that have contributed positively to societal transformation and have also created a huge impact in people’s lives, in different ways.

For Princess Kelechi Oghene MD and CEO of GMYT Fashion Academy, the show was aimed at celebrating young fashion entrepreneurs that are part of the prestigious GMYT fashion academy, as well as celebrating and awarding organisations and individuals for their philanthropic work.

Students were giving awards for their efforts in different categories, including best graduating students, best dressed, most innovative student of the year amongst others.

Apart from the fashion show, guests were treated to some classy musical performances,  and other side attractions, including comedy.
